We are looking for an experienced Housekeeper to join our team at Practice Plus Group Hospital, Barlborough, working 37.5 hours per week between Monday and Sunday. Enhanced pay is available for weekend shifts.
The role involves cleaning offices, stairways and corridors, with occasional work in other areas of the hospital, including operating theatres and inpatient wards.
As a key member of the team, you will ensure all hospital areas are cleaned to the required standards, maintain accurate records, report faulty equipment and promote patient and public safety by using appropriate signage.
At Practice Plus Group, our priority is delivering high-quality patient care in clean, safe and comfortable surroundings. You will follow infection prevention and control procedures and maintain excellent cleaning standards throughout the hospital at all times.

As a key member of the team at Practice Plus Group Hospital, Barlborough, you will help maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for patients, visitors and colleagues. You'll ensure all areas are cleaned to the required standards, maintain accurate records, report faulty equipment and promote safety through the correct use of signage.
Our priority is delivering high-quality patient care in clean and comfortable surroundings. You'll work to strict infection prevention and control standards while maintaining excellent housekeeping practices across the hospital.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean all hospital areas in line with the required specifications.
- Mop, dust, damp wipe surfaces and clean internal glass as required.
- Clean toilet facilities, including wash basins, floors and walls.
- Operate buffing, polishing, vacuum, carpet cleaning and laundry equipment following training provided.
- Maintain accurate daily cleaning records.

To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Have
- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience, ideally within a healthcare or similar setting.
- A good understanding of health and safety and COSHH regulations.
- A positive, team-focused approach and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- A strong work ethic with a willingness to learn and develop.
- The ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively with colleagues.
- Flexibility to work a rotating shift pattern.
