Experienced in cleaning or housekeeping within a care or healthcare environment?

We're looking for a reliable and conscientious Domestic Assistant to join the team at Towy Castle Care Home.

This isn't simply a cleaning job. You'll be working within our residents' home, including their bedrooms and personal spaces, and interacting with residents throughout your working day.

We're therefore particularly interested in people who already have experience of cleaning or housekeeping within a care home, hospital, healthcare, supported-living or similar environment and understand the importance of infection control, confidentiality, dignity and working respectfully around the people in their care.

About the Role

As a Domestic Assistant, you'll play an important part in maintaining a clean, safe, comfortable and welcoming home for our residents.

You'll work throughout the care home, completing scheduled cleaning tasks while being mindful that this is first and foremost our residents' home.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Cleaning residents' bedrooms and bathrooms
  • Cleaning communal areas and other areas throughout the home
  • Following cleaning schedules and completing required records
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
  • Following infection prevention and control procedures
  • Using and storing cleaning products and equipment safely
  • Reporting maintenance, safety or housekeeping concerns
  • Working respectfully within residents' personal spaces
  • Maintaining residents' privacy, dignity and confidentiality
  • Communicating appropriately and warmly with residents, visitors and colleagues
  • Working with the wider team to maintain a safe and comfortable environment

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Who We're Looking For

You'll need to be:

  • Experienced in cleaning, domestic or housekeeping work, ideally within a care or healthcare setting
  • Comfortable working around and interacting with residents
  • Respectful of people's privacy, dignity and personal space
  • Reliable and committed to your rota
  • Thorough with good attention to detail
  • Able to follow cleaning schedules and infection-control procedures
  • Confident working independently and as part of a wider team
  • Friendly, patient and professional in your approach
  • Able to understand the importance of confidentiality when working in a care environment
