Location: Potters Bar, EN6

Hours: Initially 2 days per week, with progression to 3 days and potentially full-time based on performance and household needs

Salary: Negotiable

Reporting to: Principal

We are seeking a reliable, discreet, and detail-oriented Domestic Cleaner / Housekeeper to support the smooth running of a private household. This role is ideally suited to someone experienced in similar environments who understands the importance of professionalism, confidentiality, and maintaining exceptional standards.

This is a part-time position initially, with clear progression to additional days and potentially a full-time role for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

  • General cleaning of the property to a consistently high standard
  • Dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and upkeep of all living areas
  • Cleaning and maintaining kitchen areas, including dishes and organisation
  • Laundry duties including washing, ironing, folding, and putting away clothing
  • Changing bed linen and maintaining bedrooms
  • Cleaning bathrooms and sanitary areas
  • Organising wardrobes and storage areas where required
  • Monitoring household supplies and reporting when replenishment is needed
  • Careful handling of delicate items, fabrics, fixtures, and furniture
  • Occasional household errands, if required
  • Supporting with general household upkeep and presentation
  • Carrying out additional tasks as requested by the Principal

Person Specification

  • Previous experience working in private households preferred (ideally with UHNW individuals)
  • High level of discretion, professionalism, and respect for privacy
  • Polite, well-mannered, and presentable
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
  • Ability to work independently and use initiative
  • Honest and trustworthy, with a strong sense of responsibility
  • Good organisational skills

Requirements

  • DBS check (required or willingness to obtain)
  • Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle (essential due to location)
