Domestic Electrician | Crawley | Field-Based | Full Time | Up To £35,000 Per Annum

Our client is one of the UK's leading manufacturers and installers of domestic mechanical ventilation systems. Their innovative products are specifically designed for the social housing and local authority market, and they pride themselves on providing solutions that improve people's health and wellbeing in homes throughout the UK.

The Role

As a Domestic Electrician, you will be responsible for managing your van, stock and schedule while completing installation works in social housing tenants homes to meet revenue and KPI targets.

This is a field-based role, with remote and office-based working in Crawley as needed. You will work independently, using your initiative to ensure quality workmanship and provide excellent customer service.

You must be conscientious and reliable, with a strong commitment to customer service.

You will be supported with your onboarding and training for up to one month with Field Operations Managers and buddying with team members, giving you the correct knowledge and skills to install ventilation products to the highest standard competently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Installing domestic ventilation products across social housing and private properties
  • Completing basic mould treatment and decoration as needed
  • Carrying out IRR (Inspect, Repair, Replace) service to existing ventilation products in social housing and domestic properties
  • Providing a high level of customer service
  • Managing stock levels to ensure the right products are available to complete jobs within set expectations
  • Managing your schedule to meet revenue and KPI targets
  • Ensuring your kit and vehicle are kept in good condition, safe to use and suitable for the works required
  • Signing fit sheets, taking before and after photographs and undertaking electrical certificates
  • Completing work safely in accordance with risk assessments and method statements
  • Working closely with the scheduling team to manage the status of works

Requirements

Essential

  • Full clean UK driving licence
  • 18th Edition BS7671
  • Level 3 Electrical Installation qualification
  • Competent in electrical installations
  • Experience installing and servicing ventilation fans
  • Good general trade skills involved in the installation of ventilation fans, PPS, PIVs, HRUs, etc
  • Practical domestic trade skills
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong commitment to customer service
  • Basic IT skills and computer/tablet literacy
  • General awareness of health and safety practices
  • Conscientious and reliable approach
  • Ability to use initiative and solve problems using common sense
  • Flexible and adaptable to evolving business needs

Desirable

  • Experience working with heavy machinery
  • Competent use of core drills
  • Competent with sealed unit (glass) installs
  • 2391 Inspection and Testing or equivalent
  • Experience with domestic ventilation installations
