Domestic Gas Engineer – Mobile

Salary: Circa DOE £40,000 per annum + travel pay

We are looking for an experienced and reliable Domestic Gas Engineer to join our team in a mobile role covering Glasgow and the surrounding areas.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Gas Engineer who enjoys working independently, delivering a high standard of customer service, and wants the security of a permanent position with a competitive package.

The Role

As a Domestic Gas Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out a range of domestic gas servicing, maintenance, repair, and installation works across Glasgow and the surrounding areas.

You will be working on a mobile basis, travelling to customers' properties and ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the required regulatory and company standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out domestic gas servicing, maintenance, repairs, and fault finding.
  • Diagnose and resolve gas and heating system issues.
  • Complete boiler servicing and associated domestic heating works.
  • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with current gas safety regulations.
  • Maintain accurate job records and complete relevant paperwork.
  • Provide professional and courteous service to customers.
  • Identify any additional remedial or maintenance requirements where appropriate.
  • Manage daily appointments and travel efficiently.
  • Maintain company tools, equipment, and vehicle to a high standard.
  • Adhere to all company health and safety procedures.

About You

The successful candidate will be an experienced Domestic Gas Engineer who is confident working independently and dealing directly with customers.

You Will Ideally Have

  • CCN1 / relevant domestic gas qualifications.
  • Current Gas Safe registration.
  • Previous experience working within domestic properties.
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
  • Good knowledge of domestic boilers and central heating systems.
  • A full UK driving licence.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • A professional, reliable, and conscientious approach to work.
  • The ability to work independently while maintaining high standards.
