Job Opportunity: Domestic Plumber
Finlay Jude Associates are recruiting on behalf of a leading utilities contractor for an experienced Domestic Plumber to join a growing field based Water Efficiency Team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified plumber looking for a stable role with pre booked appointments, a company vehicle, full training, performance incentives and no requirement for emergency call outs.
You will visit residential customers to carry out water efficiency surveys, plumbing repairs, install water saving products and provide excellent customer service.
What You'll Be Doing
- Carrying out plumbing repairs and maintenance in domestic properties
- Conducting water leakage inspections and water efficiency surveys
- Diagnosing and repairing leaking toilets, taps and faulty plumbing fixtures
- Replacing defective plumbing components
- Installing taps, showers, toilet fittings and other water saving devices
- Advising customers on water usage and potential water, energy and cost savings
- Conducting basic property assessments and identifying plumbing issues
- Recording job information using a mobile device or tablet
- Taking meter readings and collecting customer information where required
- Providing professional advice and excellent customer service
- Working independently to manage appointments and workload effectively
- Ensuring all work is completed in line with health and safety requirements

What We're Looking For
Essential
- NVQ Level 2 Plumbing Qualification (or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years' plumbing experience
- Hands on domestic plumbing and leak repair experience
- Full UK Manual Driving Licence
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Comfortable using tablets, smartphones and digital job management systems
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and solve problems effectively
Desirable
- National Water Hygiene Card (training can be provided)
- Basic household maintenance experience
- Experience working in a customer facing field based role

Working Hours
- Full time, 40 hours per week
- Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm
- Flexibility required regarding working hours and coverage areas
- Occasional Saturday working on a rota basis
