Domestic Robotic Specialist and Ground Care Sales Person

Location: Swanland

Role Overview

Ripon Group is seeking a proactive and customer-focused Domestic Robotic Specialist and Ground Care Sales Person to join our ground care team in Swanland. If you are passionate about turf and garden machinery, have experience with robotic mowing solutions and enjoy a hands-on, customer-facing role, this could be the perfect opportunity.

You will use your technical knowledge and strong communication skills to support sales across our full ground care range. This includes showroom sales of mowers and handheld tools, as well as customer demonstrations and equipment handovers.

You will also conduct equipment field demonstrations, training and installations when required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Represents the Company in the sale of machinery, parts and accessories to customers.
  • Builds strong and loyal relationships with defined sales area customers.
  • Conducts equipment field demonstrations, training and installations when required within their area of expertise.
  • Prepares new wholegoods machinery where possible, and builds some of the new walk-behind machines / hand held ground care equipment.
  • Performs pre-delivery set up on new or used equipment.
  • Utilises the Company’s system, such as CRM and follows the Company’s sales processes and ensures compliance for dealer standards for each manufacturer.
  • Ensure all machinery sold by them is invoiced before delivery and outstanding debt is sought when overdue.
  • Conducts site surveys, set-up and installation of the equipment both in the depot and at customers’ premises and follows the handover process.
  • Participates in required training programs for the development of skills and knowledge.
  • Supports with training opportunities for customers and special events.

  • Monday - Friday 08:00 - 17:00 (with occasional weekend work on a rota)

What We're Looking For

  • 1+ years’ experience in equipment sales (this is preferred, but not essential as full training will be provided)
  • Enthusiastic, proactive, and customer-first attitude
  • Good understanding of garden machinery and industry practices
  • Confident using digital tools, internet functions, and sales systems
  • Familiarity with ground care products, including competitor products
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Flexibility to work extended hours when needed, including Saturdays on a rota
  • Reliable, honest, and team-oriented approach
  • Ability to work under pressure
