We’re looking for a passionate and driven Domestic Solar Sales Consultant to join our team and play a key role in bringing clean, affordable energy to homes across the UK. Specialising in residential solar and battery storage, you’ll carry out personalised home consultations and surveys, helping homeowners make informed decisions that lower their bills and reduce their carbon footprint.
From first contact to post-installation, you’ll support customers every step of the way, delivering expert advice and outstanding service. You’ll work from a mix of warm leads and your own network through referrals and local outreach.
Responsibilities:
- Customer consultations: Conduct in-home visits to assess suitability for solar, understanding homeowner needs, and provide tailored proposals.
- Lead conversion: Turn inbound enquiries into successful installations with expert advice and a consultative approach.
- Pipeline growth: Build your own pipeline through referrals, community events, and local networking.
- Sales targets: Consistently meet or exceed monthly and annual sales goals.
- Objection handling: Address questions and concerns around solar technology, finance options, and installation.
- Customer relationships: Build trust with homeowners through honest advice, empathy, and excellent follow-up.
- Post-Sale support: Work closely with operations and technical teams to ensure a seamless customer journey.
- Product expertise: Stay up to date on domestic solar and battery technology to provide informed recommendations.
- Brand representation: Represent Good Energy at events, home shows, and sustainability initiatives in your area.

What you'll need to succeed
We’re seeking an approachable, proactive, and ambitious professional who thrives on meeting new people and making a meaningful impact. You’ll guide customers through a significant investment with care, clarity, and confidence, bringing our mission to life one home at a time. We are looking for someone passionate and hungry to succeed—a driven individual who is eager to progress to the next stage of their career and help us grow.
- Sales experience: Proven track record in face-to-face sales, ideally within the home energy or renewables sector.
- Consultative selling: Able to understand individual needs and design bespoke solar solutions.
- Closing ability: Skilled at securing sales during or after in-home consultations.
- Strong communication: Warm, clear, and persuasive in person and over the phone.
- Technical curiosity: Eager to learn and explain solar technology in simple terms.
- Organisation & resilience: Confident managing your pipeline and following up with leads.
- Autonomy & teamwork: Self-motivated but thrives in a supportive team.
- Open to Travel: Full UK driving licence and happy to travel when required.
Your base of Operations: Office, warehouse, and beyond
Our head office is in Chippenham, Wiltshire, with additional offices and warehouses in Lincoln, Ringwood (Hampshire), and Kent. For this role, we’re looking for candidates based around Coventry/Solihull/Warwick. The position will involve some travel to clients' properties as required.
