Band 3 - £29,103 - £31,409 pro rata
Plus £1,461 Distant Island Allowance pro rata
Monday to Friday
Permanent Contract

Job Overview
We are currently recruiting for a Domestic Supervisor to join our Domestic Services Team at the Uist and Barra Hospital, Balavanich, Isle of Benbecula, HS7 5LA.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide an efficient and high-quality domestic service to patients and staff.
- Follow a specific schedule of work relating to defined areas.
- Duties include day-to-day supervision of Domestic Assistants, ensuring adequate staffing cover within the wards and departments.
- Ensure a clean and safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
Supervisory Experience
Supervisory experience is desirable, however, full training will be given. A degree of flexibility is required; this post involves evening and an occasional requirement to work at other outlying NHS Western Isles Health Board sites.

Essential Requirements
- Driving Licence is essential for this post.
- Monitoring all areas of our hospital clinical and non-clinical locations.
- Activities will include training staff to use cleaning equipment, making sure staff have all completed their statutory and mandatory Training.
- Use economic and safe use of cleaning agents, following manufacturers' recommended instructions.
- Wear protective clothing as supplied by the Department and complete all daily/weekly sign-off sheets for areas.
Mandatory Induction Standards
- Achieve the Mandatory Induction Standards for Healthcare Support Workers.
- Comply with the Code of Conduct within three months of full-time employment or up to six months for part-time workers.

- Register with the PVG Scheme (Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme).
