Domestic Supervisor - £15.90 per hour

Shaw healthcare is looking for a Domestic Supervisor to join the team in Maitland Park in Camden. You will join a team that is fully committed to making a difference to the lives of those who we provide care for. Our aim is to deliver the highest standard of care to our service users and to provide the same standard of care that we would expect our own family members to receive. You will be using the latest care technology that will enable you to spend more time with the service users that you care for. Maitland Park has an excellent reputation as highly valued provider of care. The needs of our service users are at the centre of all we do every single day.

Duties

  • To arrange allocation of work and duties for all cleaning staff and to ensure adequate staffing at all times.
  • Devise cleaning schedules and schedules for periodic cleaning in conjunction with the Service Manager.
  • Record cleaning frequencies, i.e., daily, weekly, periodic.
  • Control the issue and use of all cleaning products.
  • Supervise the safe use of all COSHH regulated products and ensure up to date COSHH assessment forms are readily available.
  • Ensure you supervise and develop all Domestic Staff.
  • Monitor cleaning and Health & Safety standards. Take remedial action as necessary.
  • Ensure that all controls, recording, and monitoring procedures are in place as advised by the Service Manager, Facilities Manager, or Regional Manager are carried out effectively.
  • Maintain effective communication with Care Staff, residents, and visitors and respond to the needs of the residents.
  • Maintain all electrical equipment in good and clean working order, reporting defects as they occur.
  • Liaise with the Service Manager on all aspects of redecoration, maintenance requirements, etc.
  • Maintain stock levels of cleaning and laundry materials and paper goods and order as necessary through the Service Manager. Maintain and operate the stock control systems properly.
  • Advise the Service Manager and Care Staff on aspects of cleaning, e.g., spillages.
  • To understand your role in infection control and in reducing and managing these risks by implementing Shaw policies and Best Practice guidelines.

Salary: £15.90 per hour

Working Hours: 35 hours a week (includes weekend working). 08:00-15:30.
