Job Description
Responsibilities
-
Provide direct supervision and organisation of the domestic team.
-
Arrange cover for absences and unforeseen instances and facilitate any adjustment of work schedules in light of daily requirements to meet service needs to obtain acceptable standards of cleaning.

Ensure all staff in the team are working to Trust policies and are correctly instructed and trained in the use of operating methods, equipment, and techniques required to provide a safe environment.

Manage the day-to-day domestic service within a specified shift time and allocated zone.

Manage both staff and the service across the Broadgreen site, and be the point of contact in dealing with issues raised.

Ensure all audits are completed within timescales and are in line with NSoC.

Ensure the rotas are covered. Allocate work to Domestic assistants. Liaise with management to ensure there is a continuation of service in the event of major staff shortages. Prioritize urgent requests. Authorize overtime within the allocated budget.

Train staff in basic job skills under the direction of Management.

Conduct health and safety training, including cascade training and the monthly toolbox training. Ensure that the staff are compliant with the mandatory training including COSHH. Make arrangements for staff to attend training.

Conduct toolbox training. Ensure that staff are trained in the Toolbox training. Record the information on the appropriate documents on the computer. Get involved with the development of toolbox training sheets.

Carry out staff appraisals and manage staff performance.

Cooperate on matters of health and safety and ensure that all staff comply with current Health and safety practices.

Ensure all staff carry out their duties to the required standard as determined by Management. Identify and resolve staff performance problems. Highlight issues with management.
