St. Andrew’s School has the following vacancy for a Domestic Supervisor – October 2026

Closing Date: 20th September 2026

Interview Date: 24th September 2026

Salary: FTE £28,146 ACTUAL £20,266

Please note: This role is part time (30 hours per week) term-time only, with an additional two weeks worked at the end of August for the annual deep clean. The successful candidate will also be required to support cleaning during Holiday Club periods (approximately 16-20 days per year) on reduced hours.

St. Andrew's School is an independent school in the heart of Rochester, educating children from Pre-School through to Year 6. Set across four beautiful Victorian buildings, our site is full of character and no two days are ever the same.

We are looking for an organised and motivated Domestic Supervisor to lead our Domestic Assistants and ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene are maintained across our Main School and Pre-School. This is an important role within our support team, helping to provide a clean, safe and welcoming environment in which pupils can learn and staff can work.

Reporting to the School Business Manager, you'll take responsibility for the day-to-day organisation of the school's cleaning operation, coordinating rotas and workloads, monitoring standards, overseeing cleaning supplies and ensuring health and safety and COSHH requirements are met. The Domestic Supervisor will have a proactive leadership role providing day to day supervision and support to the domestic team.

What you'll be doing

  • Leading and supporting the Domestic Assistants, including organising daily workloads and cleaning schedules.
  • Monitoring cleaning standards across the Main School and Pre-School and addressing any issues promptly.
  • Managing cleaning rotas to meet the needs of the School, including events, Holiday Club and the summer deep clean.
  • Monitoring cleaning stock levels, placing orders and working with suppliers to achieve value for money.
  • Managing COSHH arrangements for the Cleaning Team, including registers, risk assessments and monthly checks.
  • Ensuring equipment and cleaning products are used safely and that the team remain up to date with relevant training and compliance requirements.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
