Saturday & Sunday 5:30pm - 6:30pm
Exact times can be flexible by agreement
Band 2 - Salary Range £26,696 to £28,988 pro-rata per annum
Plus Distant Island Allowance of £2,578 pro-rata per annum

About the Role
This contract is fixed-term until 31 of March 2027. The reason for the fixed-term contract is funding.
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic professional to join the team of domestics within NHS Shetland’s Domestic Services Department.
Duties Include
- Cleaning clinics, treatment rooms, reception areas
- Hoovering and mopping floors
- Cleaning toilets
- Cleaning public areas
- Emptying waste bins
- General cleaning duties
You will need to be flexible, committed and have a positive attitude to your work.

Enhanced Rates
Enhanced rates are paid for weekend work, unsocial hours work, and overnight hours. Uniform and PPE supplied, access to workplace pension scheme, along with excellent holiday entitlement. Previous experience desirable although full training will be provided for the successful candidate.
Requirements
Applicants should have a good level of basic education, good communication skills and a full UK driving licence would be desirable. You will need to be able to follow instructions so you can take part in the initial training and induction, which takes place when you start. From there, your manager and colleagues will give you the support you need while you complete your on the job training. The work you do in the Domestic team will be essential to the safe running of the Health Service in Shetland; you will be a valued member of the team and may have the opportunity to develop skills in other areas of the facilities team if you wish, such as laundry or catering.
