Role Description

- Assisting with personal care such as washing, dressing, and toileting
- Supporting clients with mobility
- Helping with medication prompts in line with care plans
- Assisting with meal preparation, light housekeeping, and shopping
- Providing companionship, conversation, and emotional support

The role involves visiting clients in their homes, accurately recording care activities, following health and safety guidelines, and communicating any changes in clients’ needs to the care team.
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Royal Sutton Coldfield, requiring flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and possibly holidays.
Qualifications
- Experience or strong interest in providing personal care, mobility support, and assistance with daily living tasks.
- Ability to build trust, offer companionship, and communicate respectfully with clients, families, and colleagues.
- Understanding of basic health and safety, infection control, and safeguarding principles in a home care setting.
- Reliable time management and organizational skills, with the ability to follow care plans and document care accurately.
- Willingness to travel locally to clients’ homes in Royal Sutton Coldfield; a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle are highly beneficial.
- Previous domiciliary or social care experience and a care-related qualification (e.g., NVQ/QCF in Health and Social Care) are advantageous but not always essential.
