Public Services Delivery Scotland

About The Organisation

PSD Scotland unites expertise from NES and NSS in a way that will allow us to accelerate national programmes to support the NHS to deliver better care, now and in the future.

We support staff with education and training, provide the tools and data that improve services, and run vital national functions such as procurement, logistics and blood, tissue and cell services.

The Post

The Scottish National Blood Transfusion Service is the specialist provider of transfusion medicine in Scotland, supplying high quality blood, tissues, products and services across the country. With Transfusions Centres in Inverness, Aberdeen, Dundee, Edinburgh and Glasgow, SNBTS work with communities, hospitals and professionals to ensure that the donor’s gift is used wisely and effectively for the benefit of patients.

We are seeking to appoint the Donor Recruitment and Publicity Officer (Aberdeen) to the Donor Marketing and Engagement Department. Reporting to the Donor Publicity Manager, you will be responsible for the recruitment, retention and engagement of blood donors within the Aberdeen area. You will be responsible for the day to day co-ordination of the recruitment and publicity activity to support the Donor Relationship Management strategy and the implementation of plans that will ensure the tactical donor relationship and retention goals are met. You will communicate effectively with donors and non donors across the region in a wide variety of ways, by delivering talks, implementing local marketing plans, social media, web updates, engaging with various community groups and contacting blood donors directly via pro-active phone calls, letters and various other forms of communication. You will make a significant contribution to achieving the strategic goals of SNBTS by delivering a world-class blood strategy that delivers value for money and meets the transfusion needs of patients in Scotland.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
