What you'll do

As Door Person / Luggage Porter, you'll love what you do and take pride in taking care of our guests:

  • Responsible for welcoming guests in a professional, courteous manner to ensure guests are immediately settled into a warm, hospitable atmosphere so they feel at home and to ensure our guests receive nothing but the best experience.
  • Part of your main duties will include handling luggage delivery and collection.
  • Provide a positive first impression of the hotel whilst working closely with the security team to ensure the building and our guests are kept safe.
  • Show flexibility and creativity in dealing with guests’ special requests and challenges that may arise during the day.
  • Sometimes asked to run an errand for our guests or operational departments.
  • Wear and adequately use our earpiece / communication device VOCERA at all times during your shift to communicate all arrivals, departures, and relevant information to the operational teams collaborating closely with our Welcome Hosts and Butlers.

What you'll bring

  • Previous experience as a Door Person / Luggage Porter, preferably in a luxury hotel.
  • A flexible and spontaneous approach that allows you to support different departments outside a door person's daily task.
  • A valid UK driving licence (holding a licence for three years with no points).
  • Great communication skills with a strong customer service ethic.
  • Fluent in English.

Preferred Skills

  • Previous experience in a 5-star luxury hotel or similar.
