Maggie's Rock'N'Rodeo – Door Steward - Variable Hours (up to full time hours available)

Must be available Friday & Saturday nights - these will be typical shifts

For anyone who would prefer this role to be freelance, this is something we would be happy to consider however you would need to have your SIA badge and be able to provide a copy of relevant insurance documentation*

About The Role

At itison venues, our main mission is to bring great experiences to all of our customers and we are looking for people who are just as passionate about doing this as we are.

Working closely with the wider venue team, you will play a key role in the safe and smooth running of the venue both inside and outside the building. This includes checking IDs on entry, monitoring customer behaviour and ensuring all guests comply with licensing laws and venue policies at all times.

  • You will be responsible for managing entry and exit points, monitoring venue capacity and acting as the first point of contact for customers as they arrive, setting the tone with a friendly, professional and welcoming approach.
  • Throughout the night, you will remain visible and approachable, helping to prevent issues before they arise and stepping in to calmly defuse situations when required.
  • On occasions where incidents do occur, you will support the internal team by handling situations safely and appropriately, including the removal of customers where necessary, always using de-escalation techniques and proportionate responses.
  • Customer and team safety is the priority at all times, alongside delivering a high standard of customer service and ensuring everyone leaves the venue with a positive impression of Maggie’s.
  • You will contribute towards making the venue a safe, secure and enjoyable environment for both our customers and our team.

About The Venue

Maggie’s Rock ‘n’ Rodeo is Scotland’s first country-themed bar where we’re partying til 3am every night and serving up the best brisket, burgers and buffalo wings this side of Nashville.

  • Plus live bands and sports every night across our big screens, our very own Bull Pit complete with mechanical Buckin’ Bronco - and a wild line up of live events yet to be announced.

About You

  • We are looking for hard working, flexible, reliable and committed people who are happy to work late nights including the weekends.
  • You must have a valid SIA license and if you want to be considered for a freelance position, you must also be able to provide a copy of the relevant insurance documents.
