Door Supervisor – Walsall
TLG Management | Walsall, West Midlands | Part-Time & Flexible Opportunities
About The Role
TLG Management is expanding its security team and is looking for professional, experienced and reliable Door Supervisors to work across pubs, bars, nightlife venues and events in the Walsall area.
We’re looking for individuals who take pride in their appearance, communicate confidently and professionally, and understand the importance of providing both excellent security and exceptional customer service.
As a Door Supervisor, you’ll play an important role in maintaining a safe, secure and welcoming environment for guests, venue staff and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide a professional, friendly and visible security presence at venue entrances.
- Manage entry and access control in line with venue policies.
- Check IDs and ensure appropriate age-verification procedures are followed.
- Monitor guest behaviour and crowd dynamics throughout the venue.
- Deal calmly and professionally with challenging situations or security incidents.
- Prevent and manage disorder while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.
- Work closely with venue management, staff and fellow security personnel.
- Assist with emergency procedures and respond appropriately to incidents.
- Complete relevant security checks, reports and incident documentation where required.
- Maintain a high standard of professionalism, appearance and customer service at all times.

What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience working as a Door Supervisor, ideally within pubs, bars, nightlife, events or similar venues.
- A valid SIA Door Supervisor licence.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A professional, confident and approachable manner.
- The ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
- Strong customer service skills and a positive attitude.
- Good awareness of your surroundings and the ability to assess situations quickly.
- Reliability, punctuality and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work evenings, nights and weekends.
Desirable
- Previous experience in busy nightlife or event environments.
- Additional relevant security qualifications or training.
- Basic computer skills for completing reports and administrative tasks.
- Access to your own transport is desirable for travelling between different sites, but is not essential where suitable public transport is available.
