THE ROOF GARDENS
The Roof Gardens is a social club in the sky, 100 feet above the streets of Kensington. Close to an acre of private gardens with views across London to the horizon, The Roof Gardens is a new generation members club.
A place of escape, bursting with wildflowers, olive and mulberry trees, grassy lawns and hidden nooks. An Art Deco gem created in 1938, The Roof Gardens has a legendary legacy. The Roof Gardens’ community is united by open-mindedness, optimism and kindness, not defined by background.
The Role
We’re seeking a confident and charismatic Doorman to join the vibrant front of house team at The Roof Gardens. As a warm and professional presence, you’ll become a familiar face to our members, ensuring their experience is seamless, welcoming, and memorable from beginning to end.
Key Responsibilities
- Previous experience of at least 6 months in a security role is required, while previous experience in a member’s club is preferred
- Monitor entry and exit points to ensure the safety of all patrons and staff
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises to ensure compliance with licensing regulations and to verify that members remain within designated areas
- Work with the team to ensure that all incidents are handled promptly and to the standard set by the Head of Security
- Manage crowd control during busy periods, ensuring a smooth flow of guests, following capacity guidelines
- Respond to emergencies and incidents, providing first aid when necessary
- Collaborate with various teams within the company to ensure all needs are met, and that all events and day to day operations go smoothly
- Prepare incident reports and maintain accurate records of daily activities
- Staff will be required to work outside some days, even in the winter
- Understand and be able to work within a various set of roles, from reception, working the restaurant floor, to working street warden positions
- Must possess a valid Door Supervisor licence in accordance with local regulations
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends
