C# .NET Developer
A leading energy trading firm is undergoing a major technology transformation and is looking for multiple C# .NET Developers to join its engineering team. You'll be working on the greenfield rebuild of business-critical trading platforms, including Settlements, Trade Capture, and Trade Operations, helping replace legacy technology with a modern, scalable .NET Core and Azure architecture.
The role offers the opportunity to work closely with traders, architects, engineers, and business stakeholders, contributing across the full software development lifecycle and building highly performant applications used directly across the trading business.
💰 Up to £750/day – Inside IR35
🗺️ Hybrid – 3 days per week, in London
📆 Rolling contract – extensions expected

Key Responsibilities
- Develop scalable backend services and APIs using C# and .NET Core 8+
- Design and develop event-driven and distributed systems
- Contribute to greenfield development and large-scale platform modernisation
- Work closely with traders, business stakeholders, architects, and engineering teams
- Follow modern Agile engineering and software development practices
- Help shape the architecture and technical direction of next-generation trading platforms
Ideal Candidate
- Strong commercial experience with C# and.NET Core
- Experience building scalable backend services, APIs, and distributed applications
- Strong understanding of event-driven architecture
- Previous experience in Energy Trading, Trading, or Front Office Financial Services is essential
- Experience working on trading, front-office, risk, market data, or other business-critical financial applications
- Strong software design, problem-solving, and engineering skills
- Comfortable working in complex, fast-paced enterprise environments
