Job Title: CAD Draftsperson
Location: Birstall
Contract Length: 12 month contract
Randstad Sourceright, a leading provider of RPO & MSP Recruitment Services, is currently recruiting for a CAD Draftsperson. This role is essential for maintaining site technical documentation, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting cross-functional engineering projects across the facility.
Job Purpose
This role is responsible for the development and upkeep of the site drawings management system, ensuring that all facility documentation remains compliant with local legislative standards and good industry practices. Working alongside Project Engineers, Reliability teams, and other operational stakeholders, the CAD Draftsperson creates and updates CAD drawings across multiple engineering disciplines—including site masterplans, general plant arrangements, P&IDs, piping schematics, and MEP systems.

Responsibilities

- Produce detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings for engineering projects.
- Support the Engineering team with layout development, design revisions, and plant modifications.
- Carry out physical factory surveys to keep site drawings updated to true "as-built" status.
- Support design and construction reviews as required.
- Serve as the key accountable person for managing and governing the site drawings register.
- Collaborate with external vendors and contractors to ensure 3D model completeness, manage changes, and resolve feedback.
- Assist in optimizing existing facility designs and technical documentation.
- Work collaboratively with engineers, reliability specialists, and production teams to deliver operational objectives.
