Drainage CCTV Technical Advisor - Freelance
Remote | Flexible hours | £400 for four hours per month | Initial one-month engagement
Do you have practical experience turning CCTV drainage survey findings into reports, remedial recommendations, scopes of work, or quotations?
Revenue Sprint is looking for an experienced drainage practitioner to advise on an early-stage project exploring how AI could support this work. You would work directly with the founder, explaining how decisions are made in practice and helping assess where software could be useful.
This is a small, paid advisory engagement designed to fit around other commitments. No AI or software development experience is required.
What you would do
Through remote working sessions and occasional document review, you would help us:
- Map how CCTV survey findings move through reporting, technical review, remedial recommendations, and estimating.
- Understand what information is needed to choose an appropriate repair, where standard guidance is sufficient, and where experience and judgment matter.
- Identify repetitive or time-consuming work, common exceptions, and decisions that need senior review.
- Work through public examples or material you have permission to share.
- Review proposed software workflows and, if the project progresses, give practical feedback on early prototypes.

Who we are looking for
You should have substantial practical experience in UK CCTV drainage work and personally prepare or review technical reports, remedial recommendations, scopes of work, or estimates.
Relevant backgrounds could include CCTV report writer or processor, drainage estimator, CCTV manager, drainage technical manager, or an experienced surveyor with responsibility for reporting and recommendations.
We are particularly interested in someone who can explain:
- How survey evidence informs decisions about repair methods, priorities, and scope.
- What makes an apparently straightforward job more complicated.
- Where reporting, review, or estimating creates delays or repeated work.
Familiarity with WinCan and relevant drainage coding or repair guidance would be useful. You do not need to have held every role in the process.
Independent consultants, current practitioners, and people who have recently left a relevant role are welcome to apply. The key is practical, up-to-date knowledge, and the ability to explain your reasoning clearly.

Terms
- £400 for four hours of advisory work during the initial month, equivalent to £100 per hour.
- All agreed preparation, calls, and written feedback count towards those four hours.
- Fully remote, with session times arranged by mutual agreement.
- Initial one-month freelance engagement, with any continuation agreed together.
- Additional hours would only be arranged and paid for by prior agreement.

Revenue Sprint is an early-stage venture researching how specialist businesses turn inspection evidence into reports, decisions, and follow-on work. This project is exploring opportunities in drainage CCTV reporting and remedial planning, with practitioner input shaping what we investigate and build.
