About the Role
At FM Conway, our Drainage Coordinators play a vital role in keeping our Water and Drainage Management operations running safely and efficiently. From planning scheduled works to coordinating emergency callouts, they help ensure our teams are in the right place at the right time, keeping essential drainage networks moving.
Responsibilities
We’re looking for an organised and proactive Drainage Coordinator to join our growing Water and Drainage Management team at our in Kings Langley. You’ll be responsible for the daily planning and coordination of scheduled and emergency drainage works, including gully cleansing, CCTV surveys, high-pressure water jetting and flood callouts.
No two days are the same. Whether you’re coordinating planned works, responding to an urgent callout or working with our operational teams to keep jobs moving, you’ll play an important part in delivering an efficient and professional service to our customers.

As our Drainage Coordinator, you will:
- Plan and schedule workloads for our cyclical and reactive crews.
- Coordinate and respond to reactive emergency callouts.
- Ensure works are programmed, managed and delivered efficiently and professionally.
- Liaise closely with supervisors and operational teams to keep works on track.
- Update internal systems, ensuring accurate information is received from our engineers.
- Create monthly payment applications and update these with completed works.
- Support the resolution of client queries and payment-related matters.
- Ensure the commercial and contractual requirements of our contracts are understood and works are planned accordingly.
Requirements
You’ll ideally have:

- Organised, customer-focused and comfortable working in a busy operational environment.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Confidence to communicate effectively with colleagues, operational teams and customers.
- Comfortable using your own initiative as well as working as part of a team.
- Commercially aware approach to your work.
- Previous drainage or commercial experience would be beneficial.
