Role Description
The Drainage Engineer will work on-site in London on a full-time basis, carrying out inspection, maintenance, repair, and installation of commercial and domestic drainage systems. Day-to-day tasks include:

- Diagnosing drainage issues

The role involves:
- Responding to emergency call-outs
- Completing planned preventive maintenance
- Documenting all work carried out with accurate reports and job sheets
The Drainage Engineer will:
- Collaborate with colleagues
- Communicate clearly with customers
- Ensure that company vehicles and equipment are properly maintained and stocked
This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a strong focus on customer service and quality workmanship.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of drainage systems, including inspection, maintenance, and repair of commercial and domestic networks.
- Experience in drainage design and layout, with the ability to interpret technical drawings and site plans.
- Knowledge of flood risk and stormwater management principles, including mitigation measures and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Background in water resource management, particularly as it relates to drainage, wastewater handling, and environmental considerations.
- Relevant vocational qualification or apprenticeship in civil engineering, drainage, plumbing, or a related field.
- Proficiency in using drainage tools and equipment, such as jetting machines and CCTV survey systems.
- Valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites across London and surrounding areas.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work safely under time pressure, including occasional out-of-hours work.
