Drain Doctor Coventry is a growing, family-run plumbing and drainage business serving domestic and commercial customers across Coventry, Nuneaton, Hinckley, Rugby and Kenilworth.
We provide reactive plumbing and drainage services, emergency call-outs and planned maintenance. Our focus is on professional workmanship, honest advice and excellent customer service.
Role Description
We are looking for a full-time Drainage & Plumbing Engineer to join our team. This is a field-based role covering Coventry, Hinckley and the surrounding areas.
Working independently from a fully equipped company van, you will be supported by our experienced office team. Your responsibilities will include:
- Diagnosing and resolving plumbing and drainage problems
- Carrying out domestic and commercial plumbing repairs
- Clearing blocked drains and completing drainage cleaning work
- Conducting drainage inspections and identifying faults
- Explaining findings and recommended solutions clearly to customers
- Completing accurate job reports, photographs and documentation
- Following health and safety procedures at all times
- Delivering excellent customer service on every visit
- Participating in an on-call rota supporting our emergency service

Qualifications and Experience
- At least two years of practical plumbing experience
- Previous drainage experience is desirable but not essential
- Relevant plumbing or drainage qualifications would be advantageous
- Strong practical problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and customer-service skills
- Ability to work independently and manage a daily schedule
- Good attention to detail when completing job records
- Full UK driving licence with no more than three penalty points
- Ability to pass a DBS check
- Willingness to participate in an on-call rota
- Must live close to Coventry or Hinckley

Training will be provided for the right experienced plumber who has the attitude and ability to develop into a strong drainage engineer.
