Drain Doctor Coventry is a growing, family-run plumbing and drainage business serving domestic and commercial customers across Coventry, Nuneaton, Hinckley, Rugby and Kenilworth.

We provide reactive plumbing and drainage services, emergency call-outs and planned maintenance. Our focus is on professional workmanship, honest advice and excellent customer service.

Role Description

We are looking for a full-time Drainage & Plumbing Engineer to join our team. This is a field-based role covering Coventry, Hinckley and the surrounding areas.

Working independently from a fully equipped company van, you will be supported by our experienced office team. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Diagnosing and resolving plumbing and drainage problems
  • Carrying out domestic and commercial plumbing repairs
  • Clearing blocked drains and completing drainage cleaning work
  • Conducting drainage inspections and identifying faults
  • Explaining findings and recommended solutions clearly to customers
  • Completing accurate job reports, photographs and documentation
  • Following health and safety procedures at all times
  • Delivering excellent customer service on every visit
  • Participating in an on-call rota supporting our emergency service

Qualifications and Experience

  • At least two years of practical plumbing experience
  • Previous drainage experience is desirable but not essential
  • Relevant plumbing or drainage qualifications would be advantageous
  • Strong practical problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and customer-service skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage a daily schedule
  • Good attention to detail when completing job records
  • Full UK driving licence with no more than three penalty points
  • Ability to pass a DBS check
  • Willingness to participate in an on-call rota
  • Must live close to Coventry or Hinckley

Training will be provided for the right experienced plumber who has the attitude and ability to develop into a strong drainage engineer.
