Drainage Engineer | Domestic Property Services

£80K - £125K per annum earnings | Paid Weekly | Full time, on-going subcontractor position via limited company.

Works

  • Responding to emergency drainage and plumbing call-outs across domestic and light commercial properties.
  • Diagnosing and clearing internal and external blockages using high-pressure water jetting, drain rodding, and electro-mechanical drain cleaning equipment.
  • Carrying out CCTV drain camera surveys, identifying faults, and producing detailed reports with repair recommendations.
  • Inspecting, lifting, and maintaining manholes, inspection chambers, and underground drainage systems.
  • Servicing, cleaning, and maintaining grease traps, interceptors, and associated drainage systems.
  • Diagnosing and repairing drainage faults including collapsed pipework, root ingress, displaced joints, and damaged drains.
  • Carrying out drain lining, patch repairs, and minor excavation works to repair or replace defective underground pipework.
  • Undertaking plumbing repairs including leaking pipework, blocked waste pipes, toilets, sinks, traps, taps, and sanitaryware.
  • Completing accurate job sheets, CCTV survey reports, quotations, and photographic evidence using digital reporting systems.
  • Delivering exceptional customer service while working safely in occupied homes and commercial premises, ensuring all work complies with current Health & Safety regulations.

Overview

  • Status: Sub-Contractor via limited company.
  • Earnings: £80 per hour on-site. Average earnings; £2,000 - £3,000 weekly. Out of hours works up to £200 per hour.
  • Hours: Monday - Friday, 08:00am - 5:00pm on-site.
  • Out of hours: 1 evening per week + 1 weekend per month as minimum.
  • Environments: Domestic - privately owned and high-end homes and light commercial environments.
  • Location/s: London / M25.
  • Pay schedule: Weekly (1 week in hand).
  • Company van provided (free of charge), alongside insurance, road tax, etc.
  • Contractor must pay for their own fuel and parking costs.

Requirements

  • Must be an experienced Drainage Engineer (time served is accepted as well as formal qualifications).
  • Must hold a minimum of 5 years experience as a Drainage Engineer.
  • Must have fantastic customer service experience, alongside experience working within privately owned domestic households.
  • Must be able to pass a DBS check.
  • Must have 9 points or less on your driving license.
  • Must have or be willing to open a limited company.
