Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Drainage Engineer role based in West Wickham. The Drainage Engineer will carry out diagnostic investigations, repairs, and maintenance on drainage systems in domestic, commercial, and industrial settings, using appropriate tools and technology including CCTV equipment and jetting machinery.

Responsibilities include:

- Attending scheduled and reactive call-outs
- Identifying root causes of blockages or flooding
- Implementing practical solutions
- Ensuring all work meets safety and regulatory standards
- Accurate reporting, completing job documentation
- Liaising with the office team and clients
- Supporting major projects as required
The Drainage Engineer will be expected to work flexibly, including occasional out-of-hours or weekend shifts to support the 24/7 operation.
Qualifications
- Experience with drainage systems, including inspection, maintenance, and repair.
- Knowledge of flood risk and stormwater management principles.
- Skills in drainage design and water resource management for practical on-site solutions.
- Relevant industry experience in plumbing or drainage engineering, preferably in domestic and commercial environments.
- Understanding of health and safety regulations and safe working practices.
- Ability to use CCTV survey equipment, jetting units, and other specialist drainage tools (training can be provided).
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel to client sites.
- Vocational qualifications or certifications in plumbing, drainage, or civil engineering are an advantage.
