About the Role

McAllister is looking for a skilled and motivated Drainage Engineer to join our dynamic team. If you have experience in Lining, Patch Repairs, Robotic cutting or UV lining we want to hear from you!

As a Drainage Engineer, you will work flexibly and responsively across both planned and reactive emergency drainage projects, identifying issues, assessing the situation and delivering effective solutions as and when required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform various rehabilitation and lining techniques, including cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) lining, cold and UV lining and ensure all work meets the required quality standards and specifications.
  • Prepare sites for rehabilitation work, including setting up safety barriers, equipment, and materials. Conduct pre-installation inspections to identify any potential issues.
  • Operate and maintain trenchless technology equipment, such as CCTV inspection systems, winches, curing units and resin mixers, following all operational and safety protocols.
  • Handle and install lining materials, ensuring they are applied correctly and efficiently. Mix and prepare resins and other materials according to manufacturer specifications.
  • Conduct site survey work and inspections before and after rehabilitation to assess the condition of the pipelines and ensure proper installation. Document findings and report any defects or issues.
  • Cooperate with the business and uphold the McAllister high Health and Safety Standards.
  • Take the upmost pride in your workmanship, safety and environmental awareness.
  • Work to our ethos ‘Stop in the event of change’, challenge any unsafe working methods or behaviours and raise any unsafe observations to the Site Safety Manager, HSQE Manager or Project Manager.

Essential Criteria

  • At least 1 years’ experience working in a similar role in the following areas.
    • Patch lining.
    • Ambient cured lining techniques.
    • Hot cure lining techniques.
  • CSCS Card
  • Confined Space Medium Risk
  • NRSW Signing, lighting & guarding for Operatives (O1)

Desirable Criteria

  • At least 5 years’ experience working in all of the above essential criteria, and experience in the following areas.
    • UV lining.
    • UV pressure lining.
    • Hot cure pressure lining.
    • UV Curing equipment.
    • Cutting equipment.
    • Primus Line – Lining.
    • Slip lining.
    • GRP lining.
    • Level 2 - Working in High Risk Confined Space -6160-03 - 603/7274/6.
    • Level 2 Entrant & Entry Controller for confined spaces (Medium Risk) 610/0731/6.

Licence

  • Drivers licence (required)
