Drainage Repair Engineer | Covering Liverpool, Warrington & West Lancashire | Full Time | £34,000 - £38,000 + Overtime + Bonuses + Van

Our client is a family-owned business that has been providing services across Merseyside, Cheshire and West Lancashire for 37 years. They pride themselves on their commitment to excellence and the well-being of their employees. You'll be more than just another team member—you'll be part of the family. As they continue to grow, they are expanding their specialist Drain Repair & Civils Division and are looking for an experienced, hands-on Drainage Repair Engineer to join their team.

The Role

As a Drainage Repair Engineer, you will carry out a range of drainage repair and civils works across domestic and commercial properties. You'll be responsible for diagnosing faults, completing high-quality permanent repairs, and carrying out excavation, reinstatement and drain lining works while maintaining the highest standards of safety and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Excavation and reinstatement using diggers and hand tools
  • Patch lining and full drain lining repairs
  • Diagnosing drainage faults using CCTV and on-site testing
  • Completing permanent repair works safely and efficiently
  • Working independently or as part of a team
  • Maintaining a high standard of customer service
  • Reactive and planned drainage repairs
  • Civils-based excavation and reinstatement projects

Requirements

Essential

  • Experience in drainage repair, civils or groundworks
  • Skilled digger operator
  • Experience in patch lining and full drain lining
  • Strong background in diagnosing and resolving drain defects
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail
  • Ability to follow health and safety standards and safe excavation practices

Desirable

  • CCTV repair/diagnostics experience
  • Ability to upsell and quote additional works
  • EUSR Category 1 – Locate Utilities
  • EUSR Category 2 – Safe Excavating Practices
  • CSCS/excavator ticket (or willingness to obtain)
