Job Description:
RSM Drain Solutions, part of the rapidly expanding RSM Group, delivers specialist drainage, environmental and infrastructure support services throughout the UK. Following significant investment in a brand-new Bucher Municipal FlexLine CM120 combination jetting and vacuum tanker, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Drainage Tanker Driver / HPWJ Operator to support our growing operations.

Role Overview
The primary purpose of this role is to operate a specialist combination jetting and vacuum tanker carrying out drainage maintenance, blockage clearance, cleansing and emergency response works nationwide.
The role includes:
- Planned drainage maintenance works
- Reactive drainage and emergency call-out services
- High Pressure Water Jetting (HPWJ) operations
- Vacuum tanker operations
- Occasional nights away depending on project location
- Participation in an out-of-hours emergency response rota
- Direct interaction with clients, site managers and members of the public

Responsibilities
- Operate a Bucher Municipal FlexLine CM120 combination jetting and vacuum tanker.
- Carry out drainage maintenance including:
- Gully cleansing
- Catchpit emptying
- Interceptor cleaning
- Culvert cleansing
- Blockage removal
- Sewer and pipeline jetting
- Wet well and pumping station cleaning
- Perform High Pressure Water Jetting (HPWJ) operations safely and effectively.
- Conduct vacuum excavation and sludge removal activities where required.
- Support CCTV survey and drainage investigation teams where necessary.
- Complete daily vehicle inspections, defect reporting and routine cleaning of tanker equipment.
- Maintain hoses, jetting equipment, nozzles and ancillary drainage equipment.
- Accurately complete job sheets, site reports and electronic records via the company management system.
- Comply with all health, safety and environmental legislation, including Water UK and HPWJ best practice guidance.
- Ensure correct use of PPE, traffic management equipment and safe systems of work.
- Represent RSM professionally whilst working on customer sites.
- Assist with emergency response operations outside normal working hours when required.
Requirements
Essential
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Category C HGV Licence.
- Driver CPC Qualification.
- Digital Tachograph Card.
- Minimum 2 years HGV driving experience.
- Experience working within the drainage, utilities or environmental services sector.
- Strong understanding of safe working practices.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Willingness to work nationwide and stay away when required.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a wider operational team.

Desirable
- HPWJ Certification.
- Previous combination tanker operating experience.
- Drainage industry experience.
- Confined Space Training.
- First Aid at Work qualification.
- CCTV drainage survey experience.
- CSCS Card.
- Vacuum excavation experience.
Training can be provided for the right candidate.
