Grass Roots Academic Support
Grass Roots Academic Support is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Drama Teacher / Secondary Drama Teacher to join a successful secondary school in Suffolk. This is an excellent opportunity for a Qualified Drama Teacher or ECT to teach Drama across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, engaging and motivating students while helping them achieve their full potential.

As a Drama Teacher, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Teaching engaging and ambitious Drama lessons across the age and ability range.
- Inspiring students to develop confidence, creativity, and a genuine love of performance.
- Contributing enthusiastically to productions, performances, and enrichment.
- Playing a significant role in the school show.
- Working alongside colleagues in Music, Dance, and the wider Performing Arts Faculty to develop Performing Arts across the school.
- Creating opportunities for students who already love performing — and for those who haven’t yet discovered that they do.
- Being supported through shared planning, professional development, and career development opportunities relevant to your stage of career.

The Successful Drama Teacher Will Have
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience teaching Drama within a secondary school setting.
- Experience teaching Key Stage 3 and/or Key Stage 4.
- A proven teaching record and/or high-quality references.
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
- The ability to engage, motivate, and inspire students.
- A good understanding of the National Curriculum.
- A current Enhanced DBS Disclosure, or willingness to complete a new DBS application where required.
- The right to work in the UK.
- A commitment to supporting students’ academic and personal development.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Drama Teacher or Secondary Drama Teacher to join a successful school in Suffolk on a permanent basis. The role offers a MPR/UPS salary to be discussed. ECTs and experienced teachers are both encouraged to apply.
