About Boxbar Tech
Boxbar Tech is an award-winning, high-growth technology company transforming the way drinks are served across events, venues, stadiums, arenas and hospitality environments globally.
We have created automated self-service drinks technology designed to increase service speed, improve quality, reduce queues, drive operational efficiency and enhance the customer experience for our partners.
Our technology is already being used by major events, venues, festivals, sports clubs and hospitality organisations around the world, including Live Nation, ASM Global, Oak View Group, LIV Golf, Diageo and Guinness, Levy, Sodexo, Peppermint, Freemans Event Partners, Butlins, PSG, AEG Presents, Parklife Festival, London Stadium, Birmingham City FC, Ibiza Rocks, Co-op Live, Adelaide Oval and many more.
We are entering an exciting phase of national and international growth and are looking for practical, reliable people who are excited by technology, hospitality and delivering an excellent customer experience.
About the Role
At Boxbar, reliability and dispense quality are critical. Our technology operates within some of the UK’s biggest stadiums, arenas, hospitality venues and live environments, and our Draught Dispense Technicians play an important role in keeping those systems operating at their best.
As our Draught Dispense Technician for the South, you will be responsible for supporting Boxbar equipment and associated draught dispense systems across your region.
This is a field-based role, travelling primarily from home directly to customer venues to carry out planned servicing, preventative maintenance, fault diagnosis, repairs and technical support.
You will become a trusted technical point of contact for customers across your territory, helping maximise equipment uptime, maintain excellent dispense quality and resolve technical issues quickly and effectively.
Alongside your core servicing responsibilities, you will occasionally support new installations, commissioning and major live events where additional technical expertise is required.
This is not a Wakefield workshop-based position. You will manage your working territory from home using a company van, tools and equipment, with occasional visits to our Wakefield HQ for training, team meetings, all-hands sessions, equipment or parts collection and wider operational requirements.
This role would suit an experienced draught dispense or field-service technician who enjoys working independently, solving practical problems and building strong relationships with customers.
Key Responsibilities
Field Servicing & Preventative Maintenance
- Carry out planned servicing and preventative maintenance of Boxbar equipment and draught dispense systems across customer locations in the South.
- Complete scheduled system inspections and identify potential faults, wear or reliability issues before they develop into operational problems.
- Service and maintain dispense equipment, cooling systems, pumps, gas systems, pipework and associated components.
- Ensure systems are maintained to deliver consistently high-quality drinks from keg to tap.
- Replace worn or defective components where required.
- Help reduce equipment downtime and prevent repeat service visits through high-quality diagnosis and maintenance.
- Maintain clear records of servicing undertaken, parts replaced and any follow-up work required.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

- Support venue teams before opening to ensure equipment is operational and ready for service.
