Location: Dingwall / Highlands
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: £38k - £45k DOE

We are currently recruiting for an experienced local Draughtsperson to join a well-established and respected engineering business in the Highlands.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong technical drawing background to join an experienced team and become an important part of the business on a long-term basis.

The Role

Working closely with the engineering and production teams, you will be responsible for producing accurate technical drawings and supporting projects from initial requirements through to manufacture.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Producing detailed engineering and fabrication drawings
  • Preparing and updating technical drawings using CAD software
  • Interpreting customer requirements, specifications, and existing drawings
  • Producing drawings suitable for manufacture and fabrication
  • Liaising closely with workshop, production, and engineering personnel
  • Making amendments and revisions to drawings as projects develop
  • Ensuring drawings are accurate, practical, and produced to the required standards
  • Maintaining drawing records and associated technical documentation
  • Supporting the wider team with technical information when required

About You

We are looking for someone with previous experience in a Draughtsperson, CAD Technician, Design Technician, or similar technical drawing role.

Ideally, you will have:

  • Experience producing detailed engineering or fabrication drawings
  • Good working knowledge of CAD software
  • The ability to interpret technical information and specifications
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • A practical understanding of how drawings translate into manufacture
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • The ability to work independently while also contributing as part of a wider team
