PFC Careers are seeking a Technical Draughtsman to work with a highly respected specialist contractor in Glasgow.

The ideal candidate will be proficient in AutoCAD and Revit, capable of producing high-quality construction issue drawings and specifications, and confident in navigating all phases of the construction lifecycle—from tender through to project completion.

This role demands a strong understanding of structural steelwork, construction detailing, BIM protocols, and Common Data Environment (CDE) workflows, particularly within a Main Contractor setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce accurate and coordinated construction issue drawings, specifications, and technical details using AutoCAD and Revit
  • Review and comment on structural steelwork designs, ensuring alignment with architectural intent and buildability
  • Collaborate with design, engineering, and site teams to ensure drawings reflect real-world constraints and sequencing
  • Maintain drawing standards and ensure compliance with Main Contractor BIM protocols and CDE workflows
  • Support tender submissions with technical input and drawing packages
  • Track and manage drawing revisions, RFIs, and redline markups throughout the project lifecycle
  • Attend coordination meetings and contribute to clash detection and resolution processes
  • Ensure all documentation is aligned with project timelines, specifications, and regulatory requirements

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
