The Vacancy
Centara, part of the RSK Group, have an exciting opportunity for a Drawing Management Technician to their team in Normanton, Wakefield.
As a specialist service provider in the Power Transmission and Generation sector, Centara Engineering offers tailored services for design and drawing management across the UK, serving the majority of the nation’s power distribution network and system operators.

It is a multifaceted role that promises variety and growth. Candidates will either learn or apply existing skills in AutoCAD, Document Control, Auditing, and Administration, contributing to multiple processes across various key frameworks.

Responsibilities
- Ensuring document and drawing accuracy to meet client standards
- Providing site survey reports to clients regarding drawing status and conditions
- Aligning the Site Drawing Index (SDI) with actual site drawing status
- Verifying that the client-provided Contract Drawing Lists (CDL) match all returned documents and drawings
- Removing redundant and obsolete drawings from existing site filing systems
- Updating drawings based on site hand mark-ups
- Establishing new site filing structures and systems
- General document and drawing control
- Ensuring drawing quality through auditing
- Returning and filing drawings within site filing systems
- Creating new on-site filing systems
- Providing general office administration support
- Acting as the client interface and point of contact during on-site activities, including site scanning, drawing system restructuring, and scheme closures (As-Installed Schemes-Returns)

Person Specification
- No specific experience required
- Good communication and team player skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong IT skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Experience in AutoCAD, report writing, and drawing translating is desirable but not required
- Full UK driving licence
