Founded in 2007 by Mike and Alison Battle, Lapland began with a simple but powerful purpose: to honour the wonder of childhood at Christmas. Frustrated by the poor quality of festive experiences available for their own four boys, the Battles set out to elevate this moment of childhood and reimagine the Father Christmas myth through original storytelling, meticulous set design, and emotionally resonant live theatre.
Their ground-breaking immersive show opened in 2007 and immediately captured the attention and hearts of parents nationwide. Powered by their purpose, the couple partnered with Hollywood set designers and West End performance professionals to produce an experience of unprecedented quality and detail. With an NPS of 72 (outperforming industry icons in the entertainment space), Lapland’s customer loyalty is second to none and has now welcomed nearly 2 million ‘believers,’ with tickets selling out on release for what the press now terms ‘the Glastonbury of Christmas’.
Today, the Lapland Group is a fast-growing purpose driven entertainment business spanning the three pillars of Live, Product and Studios. In 2024, Lapland’s eCommerce revenues grew tenfold, driven by the launch of magical at-home products like personalised Letters from Lapland…. (Advent calendar and soon, a Christmas Eve Experience?). These products extend the Lapland world into the home, deepening belief and connection beyond the physical experience. At the same time, our original story universe continues to scale through media. In 2023, Lapland launched its first podcast, Elfcast, which achieved No. 1 in the UK Family Charts and ranked in the global top 10 over Christmas. With plans to expand into audio and content year-round, our IP and characters are reaching audiences in new and emotionally resonant ways.

Role Overview
We’re looking for Dressers to join our team to help bring our sets to life from existing dressing plans. Dressing spaces with props and decorative details exactly where they need to be, to create the magical world of Lapland.

You will be a key member of the team on the build of our large-scale live immersive event.
Working alongside our Lead Dresser, you’ll help transform our spaces from build sites into fully dressed environments. The creative vision is already established; however we need people who can execute it brilliantly.
This is a hands-on, fast-paced role. You’ll be moving between sets and keeping up with the deadlines of the events build schedule. You’ll need to be organised, efficient and comfortable working at pace, while still having a sharp eye for detail. All the work will be held to a high standard across the site.

Manchester – Build: 10/10/2026 - 28/10/2026 + Break: 27/12/2026 - 10/01/2027
Key Responsibilities
- Carefully handle and dress all props and associated dressing items.
- Install and position set elements exactly as directed by the Lead Dresser and Dressing Supervisor, according to the established plans and designs.
- Work efficiently as part of a larger installation team across different areas of the event.
- Keep materials, equipment and work areas clean, organised and tidy.
- Demonstrate excellent attention to detail and a high standard of workmanship.
- Follow instructions accurately and consistently.
- Work efficiently and meet agreed deadlines.
- Respond positively and flexibly to changing priorities as the build progresses.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with the Lead Dresser, Dressing Supervisor and wider production team.
- Work collaboratively and respectfully with all teams across the site, upholding company values at all times.
- Adhere to all Health & Safety guidelines and site procedures.
Role Requirements
We’re looking for people with professional experience in set dressing, styling, events, visual merchandising or creative production.
This role requires someone who:
- Has a strong eye for detail and excellent visual awareness
- Takes pride in the presentation, finish and overall quality of their work.
- Understands the importance of working within an established creative vision and can take direction well.
- Is highly practical and enjoys working with their hands.
- Handles greenery, materials and finished installations with care and consideration.
- Can follow instructions accurately and consistently.
- Has a reliable, professional and proactive approach.
- Works quickly, efficiently and calmly in a fast-paced environment.
- Is comfortable working to tight deadlines while maintaining high standards under pressure.
- Can adapt quickly and positively to changing priorities during a live event build.
- Communicates clearly and works collaboratively as part of a wider team.
- Is physically capable of the demands of a busy installation period, including being on their feet for extended periods and moving materials safely.

Pay Rate
£240 Per Day including box and travel
Further role & contract details along with availability will be discussed at interview stage; interviews will take place on MS Teams.
