A new position has opened up to help shape and support the mobilisation and ongoing coordination of the DRIVE project in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. This new venture is all about contributing to a whole-system response to high-harm, high-risk and repeat Domestic Abuse perpetrators.
DRIVE is a brand new way of tackling Domestic Abuse, focusing on changing the behaviour of the offending party and taking the responsibility of change away from the victim.
The role will be to facilitate effective panel meetings, partner engagement, information sharing, action tracking, and performance reporting so that Police and partnership activity is aligned to reduce repeat offending, safeguard victims and children, and support perpetrator accountability.
The successful applicant will need good organisational skills and communication skills to triage and select suitable DV perpetrators from MARAC and CIB based risk-assessed individuals to put them before a Panel meeting. The post-holder will present these referrals for partners and the Panel Chair to make selection decisions. Selected individuals will then work 1-2-1 with a Case Manager to address their offending behaviour. Post holder will therefore need to work closely with these Case Managers, MARAC leads and partners to prepare comprehensive summaries of DV Perpetrators and the risk they present.

The post holder will act as a central coordination point between Cambridgeshire Constabulary, Red Snapper (the DRIVE service provider), IDVA's and other relevant statutory and voluntary sector partners such as Probation, Children's Social Care, CGL etc.

Vetting Process
Please note that, as part of the vetting process, the BCH Vetting Unit may need to contact your current line manager for a Supervisor Appraisal. This requirement aligns with the 2025 National Guidelines for Vetting (APP 6.5.18). Examples of when this may apply include:

- Moving into a role requiring MV clearance (even if you currently hold MV clearance)
- Moving into or working in a role involving close contact with vulnerable individuals
