Description
Are you an experienced Class 5 Driver looking for your next opportunity? We are seeking a reliable, safety-focused professional to join our Christchurch team and support the delivery of key construction and infrastructure projects across the region.
This is a permanent, full-time opportunity offering guaranteed hours, great benefits, and the chance to work on projects that make a real difference in local communities.
About The Role
As a Class 5 Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of materials, plant, and equipment to and from project sites. You will play a vital role in supporting construction operations while maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism.
This role is primarily Monday to Friday; however, flexibility is required as occasional Saturday work and night shifts may be necessary to meet project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 5 vehicles in accordance with road transport regulations
- Transport materials, aggregates, equipment, and machinery to project sites
- Complete daily vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks
- Accurately complete logbooks and transport documentation
- Assist with loading and unloading where required
- Maintain a high standard of health, safety, and environmental compliance
- Work closely with site teams and supervisors to meet project requirements

What You'll Bring
- Full Class 5 Driver Licence (essential)
- Proven experience operating Class 5 trucks
- Strong understanding of transport and safety regulations
- Excellent driving record
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking attitude
- Flexibility to work occasional Saturdays and night shifts when required
- Civil construction experience is advantageous
