The Role

We’re currently looking for a dependable 18-tonne HGV Driver to join our successful team in Northampton. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working as part of a team, thrives in a customer-facing role, and takes pride in providing excellent service.

As a driver, you’ll be a key member of our team—representing JDP at every delivery point and ensuring customers receive our civils and drainage products safely and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive the vehicle safely, responsibly, and efficiently, adhering to all driver and vehicle legislation
  • Ensure accurate and timely deliveries across Northampton and surrounding areas
  • Follow all driver and vehicle regulations, including Driver CPC, tacho card, and driving hours rules
  • Professionally represent JDP at each delivery, delivering exceptional customer service

Requirements

Essential Qualifications & Skills

  • Hardworking, helpful, and keen to train across all operational aspects
  • Driver CPC training (some existing knowledge or willingness to train)
  • Digital driving licence (tacho card)
  • Good understanding of Health & Safety in a work environment
  • Strong grasp of driver procedures, including hours rules and regulations
  • Ability to plan the most efficient route for daily deliveries
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • (Preferable) Fork Lift Truck experience
