Role Description

This is a full-time Driver role based primarily in Woodborough with a hybrid working arrangement, allowing some administrative tasks to be completed from home. The Driver will be responsible for safely loading, transporting, and unloading plant and tool equipment to and from customer sites, ensuring timely deliveries and collections. The role involves communicating with the office team and customers to confirm schedules, provide updates, and support excellent service. When working from home, the Driver may assist with route planning, basic paperwork, and coordination of upcoming deliveries and collections.

Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle class, with a strong safety record and confident driving skills.
  • Experience in handling, loading, and securing plant or tool equipment, with a good understanding of manual handling and basic vehicle checks.
  • Customer service skills, including clear communication, professionalism, and the ability to represent the company positively on-site.
  • Organizational and time-management abilities to manage delivery schedules, paperwork, and route planning efficiently.
  • Basic IT skills for using mobile devices or systems to track deliveries, complete forms, and communicate with the office team.
  • Reliability and flexibility to work in varying weather conditions and adapt to changing delivery priorities.
  • Knowledge of local and regional routes around Nottingham and Woodborough is an advantage.
  • Previous experience in construction, tool hire, logistics, or a related field is beneficial but not mandatory.
