Bakeri Baltzersen, Harrogate, HG3 2SG

A GBP 16.00 per hour + A GBP 3.00 per hour unsocial hours supplement between 11pm and 6am

Full-time: 40 hours per week

Wednesday to Saturday: Approx. midnight to 10am

We are looking for an experienced Driver and Dispatch Manager to take responsibility for our day-to-day delivery operation, lead our team of drivers, and help manage our fleet of eight company vans.

This is a very hands-on role combining packing, driving, dispatch, team supervision, and fleet coordination.

The first 2-3 hours of each shift are focused on getting products packed and ready for delivery. This is a team effort, with everyone pitching in to make sure orders are prepared, loaded, and ready to leave on time.

From there, you will help coordinate the delivery operation, regularly complete delivery routes yourself, and lead the driver team, while ensuring vehicles are properly maintained, and the overall operation runs smoothly.

This is not a desk-based management position, so we are looking for someone who enjoys being actively involved in the day-to-day operation and leading by example.

The Role

Working closely with our Logistics Manager, you will help ensure our bakery products are packed, loaded, and delivered to customers safely, efficiently, and on time.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
