Pay Rate: £40,887
Grade: CA
Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)
Shift Patterns: 45 hours per week, Monday – Friday 6am start
Location: Sheffield - S9 1TZ
DHL Supply Chain is looking for a reliable and professional Class 1 Driver to join our team.
In this role, you'll be responsible for delivering steel products to customers while maintaining high standards of safety, compliance, and customer service. If you're an experienced HGV driver looking for a stable role with a leading logistics provider, we'd love to hear from you.
A Typical Day May Involve
- Delivering steel products to customers for onward processing or final delivery, with up to 5 drops per day
- Safely securing and restraining loads, including manual handling duties where required
- Operating vehicles safely and efficiently while adhering to Drivers' Hours regulations and the Working Time Directive
- Maintaining full compliance with company health and safety procedures, the Highway Code, road traffic legislation, and vehicle regulations
- Carrying out daily vehicle inspections and reporting any defects in line with company procedures
- Providing occasional office-based support to cover holiday and sickness absence as required

This Role Would Suit People Who
- Hold a valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence, Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card, with at least 12 months' recent Class 1 driving experience
- Are comfortable with manual handling duties, including securing, strapping and restraining loads
- Have good customer service skills and maintain a professional attitude when dealing with customers
- Have previous driver training experience or are willing to undertake training to support driver development activities
- Are flexible and willing to provide office-based cover to support holiday and sickness absence when required
