Driver Hire Kingston is currently recruiting on behalf of our client in Kingston upon Thames for a reliable, enthusiastic Driver / Fire Alarm Engineer Support Assistant to join their team.
This varied role combines driving, materials delivery, and practical support for Fire Alarm Engineers. We will provide full training, with opportunities to develop your skills and progress within the company.
The Role
Your Duties Will Include
- Collecting and delivering materials between sites across London and surrounding areas
- Assisting Fire Alarm Engineers with servicing and maintenance of equipment
- Collecting and purchasing materials from stockists
- Assisting with engineer call-outs when required
- Providing ladder support and assisting with high-level equipment
- Collecting materials for recycling
- Supporting the stores team with stockroom duties when required
- Packing and preparing materials for delivery
- Arranging and processing material collections and deliveries
- Providing flexible support between office, stores and on-road duties

What We’re Looking For
The Successful Candidate Will Have
- A full clean UK driving licence
- Substantial previous driving experience
- Good communication skills
- Good IT skills and confidence using basic computer systems
- Excellent timekeeping and reliability
- A flexible approach to working hours, including occasional evenings and weekends
- A practical, hands-on attitude and willingness to learn
- The ability to work well as part of a team
- Ideally, live within approximately 10 miles of Kingston upon Thames
