Join our team at Keolis Amey Metrolink (KAM), the largest light rail network in the UK!
Due to continued growth in our driver operations, we’re looking for a Driver Operations Administrator to support the smooth and efficient running of our operations.
Working closely with the Resource Delivery Manager, you will play a key role in delivering administrative activities across driver operations, collaborating with teams across the business to support improved efficiency and overall operational performance.
Combining strong administrative accuracy with analytical capability, this role will be integral in championing continuous improvement and helping to optimise driver performance and productivity.
Key Accountabilities Will Include
- Provide proactive administrative support to the Driver Operations Leadership Team, ensuring smooth and efficient day-to-day operations.
- Actively review and analyse driver rostering data and resource allocation reports (including absence, contingency resourcing, and safety performance), using identified trends to help drive operational efficiencies.
- Champion continuous improvement by identifying risks and opportunities for process and performance enhancement, reviewing administrative processes, and recommending changes to increase efficiency and data accuracy.
- Liaise effectively with key stakeholders across the business, including HR, Planning, and Analysts, to maintain driver operations and competency standards in line with regulatory requirements.
- Support in producing clear, informative dashboards and reports to support operational leadership and decision-making.
- Contribute to operational projects, system upgrades and new initiatives within driver operations, supporting digitalisation and automation to drive simplification and standardisation.
- Promote and support an inclusive culture, taking a zero-tolerance approach to behaviours that conflict with FREDIE principles, and escalating concerns where appropriate.
- Take responsibility for personal health, safety and wellbeing, supporting the organisation’s zero-harm principles.
- Ensure scheduled tasks and activities are delivered efficiently and accurately, maintaining compliance with relevant policies, regulations and standards and collaborating with stakeholders to support delivery of business plan objectives.

What You’ll Bring
- Strong administrative skills with excellent attention to detail; highly organised and reliable, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with the ability to produce clear operational reports and analyse data to generate meaningful insights.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative, team-oriented approach to working with operations and key stakeholders.
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced operational environment, demonstrating a proactive mindset and keen attention to detail to identify, escalate or resolve issues early.
- High level of discretion, with experience handling confidential and sensitive information appropriately.
- Customer and driver focused, consistently delivering high-quality support to both drivers and managers.
What We Will Offer You
- Salary is up to £31,140 per annum, depending on skills and experience
- Permanent, full time 37.5 hrs per week
