Workplace: Space Studios, ProVision Manchester - expectation is 5 days in the office.


The Team

ProVision are one of the UK’s leading equipment hire companies, providing Lighting, Cameras, Grips and Sound to the Television and Film industry. Wholly owned by ITV and with bases in Leeds, London and Manchester we are looking to recruit a driver/storeperson to support us in providing a high standard of service to our ProVision clients.


The Role

This role is an amazing opportunity for someone looking to start a career within the TV industry who has a keen interest in learning more about lighting, camera, sound and grip equipment!

The Driver/Store person is responsible for preparation, delivery & collection of equipment to ProVision customers as directed by the Head of ProVision and Lighting Supervisor, focusing at all times on providing a high standard of service to all ProVision clients.

Representing ProVision in a professional manner, the Driver Storeperson will deliver and collect equipment from various locations and companies. You will load and unload equipment; ensuring data is entered accurately on to our stock control system including all items are PAT tested and prepped to our high standards. You will also maintain our vehicles, cleaning and refuelling as required.


Skills You’ll Need (Minimum Criteria)

  • This role involves driving to various locations to collect and deliver equipment therefore a full UK manual driving licence.
  • Able to drive safely to customer and production locations.
  • Able to communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues and customers, verbally or in writing.
  • Experience of organising tasks and working to deadlines in employment, education, volunteering or another relevant setting.
  • Comfortable using digital systems, or willing to learn new systems with training.
  • Able to follow health, safety and safe manual handling procedures.
  • Interest in television, film, live events or the creative industries.
  • Able to work from the Manchester base and travel to other locations as required.
  • Able to work the advertised hours, including occasional out-of-hours work where required.
  • This role involves moving and handling broadcast equipment safely. Manual handling training, appropriate equipment and reasonable adjustments will be considered where possible.
  • Willingness and ability to work in a warehouse environment as training may be given depending on the level.

Other Things We’re Looking For (Key Criteria)

  1. Ability to provide excellent customer service.

  5. Demonstrable working knowledge and experience or willingness to learn about lighting, camera, sound and grip equipment.
  6. Ability to solve practical problems and respond positively when priorities change.
  7. Confidence using, or learning to use, digital systems.
  8. Commitment to safe working practices.
  9. Professionalism when representing ProVision with customers and production teams.
  10. Commitment to working respectfully and inclusively with colleagues and customers from a wide range of backgrounds.
  11. Preferably PAT test qualified, if not, the ability to take the PAT test qualification.
  12. Preferably LGV trained, if not, the ability to take the LGV qualification.
