Main Duties

The successful candidates will be responsible for undertaking a diverse range of tasks including:

• To drive any Trust vehicle to undertake any duties relevant for the role.
• To maintain vehicles in good working order and use it to maximum efficiency. Reporting faults and breakdowns immediately to the Facilities Supervisor. At the start of each shift, carry out the appropriate vehicle checks and complete the vehicle record logs.
• To complete all relevant daily documentation and vehicle checks in compliance with relevant statutory legislation and local codes of practice and quality control procedures.
• The post holders must present their driving license for inspection and recording on an annual basis and promptly report any penalties or points in line with trust policies and procedures.
• Undertake training to operate different vehicle systems.

What You Will Bring To The Role

• Substantial professional driving experience, ideally in a fast-paced or service-led environment
• Experience of working in a customer-focused role, delivering a high standard of service
• The ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing, using radio, telephone, and IT systems
• A working knowledge and understanding of service users’ needs and requirements, with a compassionate and respectful approach
• The ability to remain flexible and adaptable, responding effectively to changing demands that may impact patient care
• Previous experience working within the NHS or healthcare setting (desirable)
