Merton is London’s best kept secret, with beautiful open spaces, great transport links, ambitious plans to improve quality of life in the borough and an unmatched sporting heritage. We offer structured career progression and a real focus on enabling positive change through ambitious management and leadership.

We are Merton United - One Borough, One Team.

Merton is looking to recruit a number of Driver/Attendants for its inhouse Passenger Transport team. Our Driver/Attendants are part of the customer facing side of Merton, helping to transport children with special educational needs and disabilities and vulnerable adults from home, to schools, community centres and activities. Predominantly a driving role, driving large minibuses around Merton and the wider South London area, you will also be a familiar, recognisable face to our service users who travel daily, whilst working as part of a team with a Passenger Assistant also on board the vehicle.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
