Job Overview:

As a Driver/Carer, you will play a dual role that is critical to the daily operations of the centre. Your day will begin at 8:00 am on the Renault minibus, where you will be responsible for safely transporting and escorting 4-7 service users. This Driver/Carer position offers the unique opportunity to build meaningful relationships with clients, gaining a deep understanding of their individual needs and requirements.

Here is what you'll be doing:

  • Safely driving and escorting clients to and from the day centre.
  • Providing personalized care and support to individuals with various needs.
  • Building trusting relationships with clients to better understand their requirements.
  • Ensuring the comfort and safety of all passengers during transit.
  • Contributing to the supportive and positive atmosphere of the day centre.
  • Working as part of a dedicated team to deliver best-in-class care services.

Here are the skills you'll need:

  • Clean automatic and manual driving license
  • Enhanced DBS clearance
  • Genuine empathy and excellent communication skills
  • Previous experience in social education, SEN, as a TA/SEND, or NHS background (preferred)
  • Patience and understanding when working with vulnerable individuals
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Commitment to professional development as a Driver/Carer
