We have a vacancy to join our teams of Driver / Handlers at Meals on Wheels, Buckhaven.
Meals on Wheels – Buckhaven
Working every other weekend, 2.5 hours a day, 52-week contract
Weekend Enhancements are paid for any hours worked on a Saturday or Sunday.
Salary
You will earn a competitive salary of £25,604.23 pro-rata and have access to a range of benefits, including:
- We pay the Scottish Local Government Living Wage of £13.64 per hour for this post, plus extra payments for shift work, including weekend.
- Pay is every 4 weeks.

- Membership of Fife Pension Fund which is part of the Scottish Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS Scotland).

Responsibilities
This work is about providing daily delivery of meals to service users on a specified daily route.
- Advising line manager regarding client welfare if required along with an understanding of client confidentiality.
- Completing relevant paperwork and general kitchen duties.
- Training to achieve an Elementary Food Hygiene Certificate will be given.

Requirements
A full driving licence is essential for this post.
Person
- Before confirming your appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.
- Ability to provide a regular and effective service, working alone or as part of a Team.
- You will be required to attend an Induction Training Day before starting in post.
