About The Role
As Drivers Mate in Huthwaite, you will join a dedicated crew delivering bulky white goods to homes across the Midlands. Working full-time on a temporary basis, you will start early between 5am and 7am, Monday to Friday, with shifts lasting around ten hours. Your primary duty involves manual handling, unloading large appliances alongside the driver, and completing three to five drops daily. You will also interact directly with customers, ensuring a professional service at each property. The role pays £13.16 hourly, rising to £19.74 for overtime, with permanent positions available after a qualifying period. Ideal candidates possess physical fitness and strong communication skills.

About the Role
We are on the look out for a drivers mate to support our client on a busy contract in the Huthwaite area, just on the outskirts of Sutton in Ashfield. In this role, you will be heading out each day with a driver and assist them in the manual handling and delivery of large, bulky items. You will be unloading white goods to domestic properties across the Midlands, making between 3 and 5 deliveries per day and dealing first hand with customers.
Hours of Work
- Monday to Friday
- Early Morning Starts between 5am and 7am
- Around 10 hour days
- Temporary Ongoing, opportunity to be taken on permanent after qualifying time period, performance dependent.
What We're Looking For

- While you will be working in 2-3 man teams, goods will often be between 50kg - 175kg so you must consider yourself physically fit to carry out this role and undertake joint lifts.
- Awareness of Health and Safety practices in regards to manually handling.
- Understanding of roadside safety.
- Confident communicator with some customer service skills.
- Previous experience in a bulky goods delivery role would be beneficial.
- Reliable and good team player.
